Holscher Design has designed a unique summer house for the Ostenfeld’s. One of the Ostenfeld’s is an eager pilot in his spare time, and we wanted to incorporate this into the house by shaping half the roof as an airplane wing.
The curvature is best seen in the large living room, which is 15 meters long. Here it forms a beautiful concave of light wooden birch panels.
The house is 162 m2 divided into two parts. The open active part of the house is made up of the 75 m2 large living room, dining area and kitchen. The entire façade overlooking the patio is made in glass.
The other part of the house is more closed off and contains bathroom, laundry and bedrooms. The other part of the house is more closed off and contains bathroom, laundry and bedrooms.
There is electronically controlled underfloor geothermal heating throughout the house, which saves heating costs.
