During his global travels, Anders Berggreen, founder of the Danish stroller manufacturer Seed, was inspired by the ingenious stroller shapes and functions in other countries.
He brought back the basic ideas for his new Seed Papilio stroller from South America and Asia. Similar to the structure of a foldable and flexible Panama hat he developed a bi-stable seat and reclining surface.
Based on the Asian concept a “baby nest”, with soft stuffing, which converts the Papilio into a classic baby carriage, was developed as well. Combined, it ensures maximum comfort for the offspring.
Seed was founded in 2002 by Anders Berggreen, filmmaker and father of four, turned entrepreneur. As a traveling parent he asked himself how he could arrange his life practically and stay flexible.
This gave rise to the idea of an all-in-one pram and pushchair, offering a lot of storage space, with the ability to be folded up with a flick of the wrist.
The collaboration between Seed and Fiat has resulted in the Seed pram being designed to fit perfectly into the boot of the iconic Fiat 500.
