In 2007, Holscher Design won a design pitch initiated by the Danish hygiene service company Berendsen, today part of French Elis.
The result was Fusion, a dispenser series with a strong focus on optimal functionality for all users and a design expression that fits into all environments. Fusion was introduced in Northern Europe in 2009, and shortly after, Cintas, the world leading hygiene service company in the US showed interest.
An international success story
The collaboration between Berendsen and Holscher Design is an example of design creating a successful business case:
- More than 6.2 million dispensers have been sold in Europe and North America by 2021
- The strong design unity of Fusion has led to increased sales per ‘toilet cubicle’ from previously 4 to 6 products in average
- Light Guide reduces workplace absence by 20-40%
